DANCE IN A TEMPLE FESTIVAL

THERE WAS A FIVE DAY FESTIVAL IN A NEARBY TEMPLE AND ONE DAY THERE WAS A DANCE PROGRAM. I WATCHED A FEW DANCES. YOUNG GIRLS PERFORMED BHARATHA NATYAM,MOHINI ATTAM, GUJARTHI DANCE, DANDYA DANCE,GYPSY DANCE AND CENEMATIC DANCES. THEY ELECTRIFIED THE AUDIENCE WITH COLOR,SKILL,STYLE AND ENERGY. HERE ARE SOME SNAP SHOTS FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE.

    It is difficult to get good shots of such performances. I tried my hands at capturing kutcheries at Chennai. Despite seated in the front row for a majority of performances over a month, I was dissatisfied. There seems to be a need to go in for a better camera. Let me see who sponsors. Likewise the Mohini Attam at Thiruppunithura was a mess when photographed. You have done very well.

    So enchanting. I bet the music was very different. I have only seen this on TV on the India Bollywood channel. Pretty costumes.
