WILL THERE BE A THIRD WORLD WAR?

After the American soldiers left Iraq, there was a vacuum to contain the terrorists and as a result ISIS began to thrive and grow in menacing proportions and started unspeakable atrocities on the people. The world powers just looked on with horror but did nothing to stop the barbarians because they thought they were safe and the savagery was only limited to Iraq.

The mass murders of innocent men, women and children and large scale destruction of property and          ancient land marks only attracted condemnation but no concrete action to destroy the terrorists.

Soon ISIS forced  themselves  into the war torn Syria and continued their inhuman atrocities. Then the super powers like US, France woke up from their slumber and started bombing ISIS positions but did not commit their ground forces. Saudi Arabia also started bombing ISIS in Syrian and Iraq. There was no stopping the ISIS and they soon started recruiting terrorists from all over the world. Russia also joined the bombing of ISIS with the purpose of supporting the Assad regime in Syria.

Refugees started moving out of Syria and Iraq on a massive scale to many European countries and ISIS terrorists managed to disguise themselves as refugees and entered many countries with the sole purpose of killing innocent civilians and thereby terrorizing the people all over the world. Besides they started recruiting terrorists from many countries to kill their own people.

The homegrown terrorists with the help of ISIS started their merciless attacks and the most horrible one was the Paris attack in which   numerous  Parisians were killed and seriously injured.

In the meanwhile, Turkey which an ally of Russia in bombing ISIS terrorists knowingly or unknowingly shot down two Russian jets. Russia became furious and termed the act as a stab in the back and threatened Turkey with serious consequences. US  and NATO sided with Turkey and justified the shooting down of Russian jets.

If Russia decides to bomb Turkey then US and NATO may take the side of Turkey and many other countries will support Russia.

This will surely escalate into a Third World War.

Many countries have nuclear weapons and the consequences will be of dreadful proportions in terms of loss of life and devastating destruction of large areas of the world.

What do you think?

THIS IS ONLY A CHANGING WORLD AND IT IS NOT VANISHING SAYS EMMA SPRINGFIELD

EMMA SPRING FIELD IN HER EXTRAORDINARY COMMENT SAYS THAT THE WORLD IS NOT VANISHING BUT IT IS ONLY CHANGING

Oh my. I have some definite thoughts here. First of all I do not believe our civilization is vanishing but it is certainly changing.

Lot and his daughters did escape Sodom and the wickedness there. But you left out the fact that they then committed incest. Is that better?

Michael Jackson's children are irrevocably harmed by the lives they have lived so far. Purchasing children is wrong. At the same time giving homes to children who would not otherwise have one is commendable. For that Michael Jackson and Elton John did a good thing. Other celebrities have done the same thing and been applauded. Who is right and who is wrong? And why is one right and the other wrong?

President Obama trying to convince leaders of other countries to dictate what sexual practices to allow is perhaps questionable. Americans (I am one) seem to believe that our way is the only way. Suggestions are acceptable; force is not.

Climate change is something I feel strongly about. It is getting warmer. We are exiting a small ice age. Of course we are getting warmer. Can we stop it? No. What we can stop is the pollution we are poisoning our world with.

There are dishonest politicians in every country. Some countries have no choice about which dishonest politicians are in charge. In a democracy we hope to choose people who are not corrupt. We are not always successful but we hope.

Condoms being made to sexually active teens disturbs me less than unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. I would like to see more education about abstinence and personal value in schools too. Perhaps the need for the condoms would be less.

The ideal for a family is one mother, one father, and children. That does not always happen. Unplanned pregnancies happen. And sometimes there is a family that loses a member for whatever reason... death, divorce, desertion... whatever. I raised my children by myself. They all have the same father and are the product of my marriage. My husband chose to leave and I was left to raise them alone. I do not regret much but my children deserved so much better than they received.

If every nation would destroy all nuclear weapons I would be happy. But I am pragmatic enough to know that even if that were to happen they would probably come up with something worse.

Pesticides and chemicals used in farming has produced mixed results. Larger more nutritious food is available for us. But the side effects  for some of them has caused a great deal of damage. I have mixed feelings.

Has the world changed? Yes. Are humans on the way out? Not yet. Are the changes all good? No. Are they all bad?  Certainly  not.

ARE WE A VANISHING CIVILIZATION?

Many, many thanks for the fantastic, thoughtful and interesting comments in my previous post under the heading DO YOU AGREE WITH THE LEGALISATION OF SAME SEX MARRIAGE?

The following comment is worthy of further scrutiny.

uthman saheed   ===Sodomy has been a generation to generation phenomenal, and no country can actually be excluded. Its only call for attention when its been legalized by the institution which supposed to protect the morality of its citizens.

Human history is generally dotted with waves of civilisations from era to era. The fall of one civilisation has always signaled the beginning of another.
Where are the civilisations of the yore today? Haven’t such ancient civilisations, such asEgyptian, Assyrian, Persian, Mesopotamian, Carthaginian, Greek and Roman each ofwhich lasted far more than a thousand years now become sheer rubbles on the pages of history? From the experience of history, we
have come to learn that when a civilization wants fall, its conductors will begin to see themselves as super human beings and clad in the garb of arrogance.

Please click on the name above to visit uthman and I am sure you will become good friends

Now the question is ARE WE A VANISHING CIVILIZATION?

Before answering this question let us briefly examine this story.

God tells Abraham He plans to destroy Sodom because of its wickedness. Abraham gets God to promise to spare it if 10 good men can be found. Lot, Abraham's relative, lives in Sodom. He is visited by three men who are angels. The men of Sodom want to have anal sex with these visitors. Lot refuses to allow this. He offers the Sodomites his two virgin daughters instead. The men decline the offer. They storm Lot's door. The angels rescue Lot. They tell Lot that God has sent them to destroy Sodom for its wickedness. They order Lot to gather his family, and leave the city. They forbid Lot or any of his family to look upon the city during its destruction. Lot and his family flee. Lot's wife looks back at the city. She is turned into a pillar of salt.

When we, as a civilization go against nature and do things which imperil an orderly, peaceful existence of society, are we in the process of a vanishing civilization. Let us take a few examples.

Michael Jackson did not want to get married but wanted children. So he engaged a surrogate mother to have children and brought them up by himself.

Elton John with his gay partner wanted  children and so he adopted them. He wanted to show his sons just how much he loved them  - by getting their names adorned on his shoes.

Mr. Obama visited African countries and tried to convince the African leaders to legalize same sex marriage. The African leaders listened to him patiently and politely refused to agree.

We know about the climate change that is taking place in this world but we are not doing anything to stop this danger which will certainly imperil future generations.

Politicians make promises to win elections but after winning, the promises are conveniently forgotten and they are busy making money for themselves and their families. They are not accountable for wasting public money. Politicians implicated in scams involving huge sums of money are not uncommon.

Democracy has a built in evil called Majority O Cracy whereby the party which comes to power gets the mandate to suppress and oppress people who elected them.

Condoms being distributed to school children in schools of some countries.

Couple live together without getting married and having children out of wedlock.

Single parenting is not uncommon in some countries.

Stock piling nuclear weapons for the security of nations.

Pesticides and chemicals used by farmers and traders in growing and preserving vegetables and fruits.

I can go on and on.

Now what do you think? Are we a vanishing civilization? I hope you will let your thoughts flow freely.

DO YOU AGREE WITH LEGALISATION OF SAME SEX MARRIAGE?

Gays have been there in the world probably since the beginning of human beings. But they were a silent lot. They did not come out in the open. They confined their activities in private. But now they are well organized, have unions and associations and become very vociferous. Some countries have succumbed to their protests and agitations and were compelled to make their activities legal.

Gays are special people and very small in number when compared to the world population. Some how, nature has made them such they have inherent deficiencies. However it must be understood that they are very capable people and some of them are leaders in many professions.

So what is the big deal in legalizing same sex marriage. It serves no purpose. Gays cannot have children. Gays can adopt children.

What kind of life these children will have without  a mother?

Can gays feed children with mothers milk?

Can they give a true mothers love and affection? Almost all of us were brought up by mothers. Can we get our mothers love from any one else? It is quite possible that some were brought up in foster homes.

What kind of human beings these children will turn out in the end?

These are some of the questions that come to my mind.

Some politicians may pat themselves and think that they have done something great by helping the gays getting legal recognition. I think they are only interested in getting votes to remain in power. They are not thinking about the society at large. They don’t care if their actions pollute and compromise the welfare of the large majority of people. I won’t be surprised many normal youngsters start experimenting  gay relationships.

Are we encouraging the present generation to become perverse?

I know some of you feel strongly about the legal sanction to gay marriage. Some of you may approve and others may object. Please write your thoughts without any reservations.

MORE REASONS TO HAVE CHILDREN

We have seen some reasons for having children in my previous post. However, there are many more reasons to have children.  Please take a look at the following comments.

Nilanjana Bose====I personally can never regret the experience of parenthood. My child makes my life sparkle in unimaginable ways :)

caroll mckenna====Giving birth is really a way to perpetuate life. We are all connected and all need to feel love and belongings. One biological son and 2 stepsons ~ I enjoyed all of them. I am glad I gave birth to him( biological son) and sometimes wish I had more birth children ~ yet it was not 'in the cards'

rudraprayaga====Having children in a planned number is a Nature's law. If all choose not to have issues, one more species will become extinct. So I think people should have their own progeny with restricted numbers to carry out their family legacy.

SheshaChaturvedi ====growth and evolution is a truth of nature. We should definitely give births to children

Kristin ====As a woman who struggled to have children - and who was eventually given the gift of a baby through adoption - I can say that my life would not be the same without her. But it has always been my hope to be a Mother

Ygraine==== As a mother who miscarried 7 babies, and lost a daughter at the age of just two weeks old, I do take motherhood very seriously. I have just one surviving son now, and he is so precious to me.

Magyar -----I'm lucky to have my wife, my daughter, my son and my grand children

River-----Some people know for sure they do not want any and that's fair enough. For the rest of us, do we want them because we love children? do we want them so we can share the delights we knew ourselves as children?

Please click on the names of the above wonderful friends to visit their blogs and when you are there please do not forget to  write comments.  I am sure you will become good friends.

I am now  summarizing the various points mentioned by my above friends and I wonder whether you will are in agreement  with them.

Firstly, no couple will regret the experience of parent hood and children bring sparkle to parents lives in unimaginable  ways.

Secondly, couple perpetuate life by having children and we all need love and belonging.

Thirdly, it is a natural law to have children. Man and woman are designed to have children and couples who don’t have children are going against this natural law.

Fourthly, if we don’t have children human beings will become extinct in less than hundred years like the dinosaurs.

Fifthly, children are needed to carry on the family legacy. What is the use of accumulating wealth and amassing property if we can’t leave it for progeny who will carry on our  family name?

Sixthly, it is good to have a family with children and grandchildren and those who don’t have them are missing out the meaning of life.

Seventhly, couples who don’t have children don’t love children and are inadequate in themselves to rise up to the challenges of bringing up children.

Eighthly, it is  better to adopt a child if a couple can’t have children or don’t want to have children.

Ninthly, couples who don’t have children are denying themselves the most precious thing in this life and have to put up a pretense to cover up the vacuum or emptiness in their lives.

I am sure you have your own thoughts on these points and I will be delighted if will share them generously with me.
