VARNAM'11
A colorful procession was taken out by college students in connecting with their art and dance festival called VARNAM'11. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure.
Your culture is so rich with color and history and meaning, Joseph! I'm so glad God appointed you to be a messenger of culture to those of us on this side of the world who are decidedly lacking in it! :)
That is a real coulourful one, but it could have been more lively if they were smiling faces. I fail to understand why they do have to keep such grim faces....
I love the riot of colours which I think only the old worlds, India and China, have them. It is heart warming to know that the people in your world still value, keep and practise their traditions. May the younger generation never forsake them! Tks for sharing.
colorful...i like the peacock costumes and the float...

ReplyDeleteI will take fotos of the music concert tomorrow.
What great pictures. I'm always amazed by the colours and styles of costumes worn in the processions ... and intrigued by the umbrellas.
