END OF CWG

The Commonwealth Games came to an end with a very colorful ceremony, brilliant lighting, laser display, pulsating music, lovely singing and dancing. Mike Fenner, Chairman of the CWG, summed it all up by saying that it was an exceptional experience.

The next day Prime Minister set up a committee to enquire into the issues of the CWG and the report is to be submitted within three months. I am sure the murky affairs of corrupt people will be brought to light and the guilty will be punished

I could not go to Delhi to see the Common Wealth Games. The next best thing I did was to sit in front of my TV and watch the games. The advantage of watching games in the TV is that one can see different disciplines sitting in the comfort one’s house besides one can get close up views. Of course I could not resist the temptation of taking some photos and post them here for those who didn’t see the games. These are only some photos of the closing ceremony.

  4. Looks like fun, Joseph! I'm glad that you were able to watch and enjoy the games! Have you seen the movie "Invictus?" Sports were used in that true story to help unite a country. There is a time and a purpose for everything under Heaven, isn't there? I'm looking forward to catching up on some of your old blog posts my dear friend from across the globe! Oh how I've missed this!! :)

  6. Mr Joseph, the closing was nice, bu t I was disapointed with the music at the end- seemed rather chaotic. I liked the martial arts display and the rangoli and th e lazer show.

Lets see what happens when they open the can of worms- the guilty shoud be punished.

The photos are very nice. I posted some video clipings.

  7. Glad that India made it despite the hitches and initial negative comments. Do hope the culprits will be dealt with. I've just come home from The Silk Road of China.

Sorry for the absence: out one week, busy on return and then caught by the flu... ;)
