A VISIT TO BOLGHATY ISLAND HOTEL

Recently I was at the Bolghaty Island Palace hotel run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation. Earlier this hotel could be approached only by boat. Now a road over bridge has been built from mainland Kochi and therefore it can be reached by road also. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure. Best wishes.

  3. Welcome back after a long spell. Last time I intended to visit this Palace hotel but at after turning towards it, we were informed by the Policemen lining up, that the hotel has been reserved for the day on account of the marriage in a Minister's family. We then proceeded to Vypin. Wishing you good health. (I am at Chennai since February)

  6. Long time, Sir, hope you are in the best of health and spirit.

Bolghatty Palace built by the Dutch, during their 130 years of stay over here was the residence of the Dutch Governor/Viceroy. It is considered to be one of the oldest palace built by the Dutch any where in the world and still standing well.

  9. Hi Joseph! Hope you are having a superb summer!
Sorry for the absence, but 2013 has been even worse than 2012... Anyhow, enjoy the blues of Grenada, and have a great vacation, if you can manage!!
    All the best!
